Informations importantes - L'Open international de Montréal 2025 s'adresse aux athlètes de 6 à 99 ans. Quatre divisions sont offertes aux participants: DÉBUTANT, INTERMÉDIAIRE, AVANCÉ et ÉLITE. Les règlements en vigueur pour la compétition sont ceux de la FMK (FÉDÉRATION MONDIALE DE KARATÉ).

** Les athlètes ne peuvent s’inscrire que dans une seule catégorie en kata et une seule catégorie en combat, sauf pour ceux participant à l’épreuve « Kumite Open Senior » ou ceux participant dans la catégorie "Senior Kata".

SYSTÈME D'ÉLIMINATION : À DÉTERMINER

Dans les divisions DÉBUTANT, INTERMÉDIAIRE, AVANCÉ et ÉLITE, les athlètes peuvent s'y inscrire si leur grade en karaté répond aux critères ci-dessous :

• Débutant : athlètes ayant une ceinture blanche et jaune
• Intermédiaire : athlètes ayant une ceinture orange, verte et bleue
• Avancé : athlètes ayant une ceinture bleue, mauve, brune et noire
• Élite : athlètes ayant une ceinture bleue, mauve, brune et noire

La division ÉLITE est offerte aux athlètes de catégories Jeunesse (12-13 ans) à Senior. Le volet ÉLITE s’adresse aux karatékas (ceintures BLEUE/MAUVE à NOIRE) souhaitant se mesurer aux meilleurs de leur catégorie d’âge. Ces athlètes pourront s’inscrire dans les catégories Jeunesse (12-13), Cadet (14-15), Junior (16-17) et Senior (16+ : kata; 18+ : kumite). Prenez note que tous les athlètes éligibles à s’y inscrire sont les bienvenus.

NOTE (province du Québec seulement): Les athlètes ayant participé aux sélections de l’Équipe du Québec en 2023-2024 et 2024-2025 mais n’ayant accumulés aucun point dans une épreuve peuvent s’inscrire dans la division AVANCÉ. Les athlètes ayant accumulés des points doivent obligatoirement s’inscrire dans la division ÉLITE dans les épreuves où ils ont accumulé des points.

Karaté Québec se réserve un droit de regard sur toutes les inscriptions pour assurer une participation équitable pour tous les participants.

Les inscriptions seront confirmées uniquement lorsqu’elles seront payées.

Important information - The Montreal International Open 2025 is open to competitors from 6 to 99 years old. Three divisions are offered to athletes: BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCE AND ELITE. The rules for the competition are those from the WKF (WORLD KARATE FEDERATION).

** The athletes can only register in one kata category and one kumite category, except for those participating in the Senior Open Kumite category or the Senior Kata category.

ELIMINATION FORMAT : TO BE DETERMINED

The BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCE and ELITE divisions are categorised as follow:

• Beginner : athletes with a white and yellow belt
• Intermediate : athletes with an orange, green and blue belt
• Advance : athletes with a blue, purple, brown and black belt
• Elite : athletes with a blue, purple, brown and black belt

The ELITE division is available to athletes from Youth to Senior categories. The ELITE division is intended for karateka’s (BLUE/PURPLE to BLACK belts) who wish to compete against the best of their age category. These athletes will be able to register in the following categories: Youth (12-13), Cadet (14-15), Junior (16-17) et Senior (16+ : kata; 18+ : kumite). Take note that all eligible athlete are welcome to register.

NOTE (province of Quebec only): Athletes who participated in the Quebec Team selections in 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 but did not accumulate any points in an event (kata or kumite) can register in the ADVANCED division. Athletes who have accumulated points must register in the ELITE division in the events where they have accumulated points. Other categories, apart from the Youth Elite to Senior Elite (Intermediate and Advanced) categories, are not subject to this restriction.

Karate Quebec reserves its right to examine every registration submitted to ensure a fair participation to all athletes.
